The working groups of the Basque Industry Platform met on Wednesday. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the Gipuzkoa Guiding Plan for Language Policy in the Workplace, the Gehi research, the Euskorpa project, and the postgraduate programme for Digital Transformation first-hand. Amaia Arregi Agirre and Garbiñe Mendizabal, Directors-General of Economic Development and Linguistic Equality respectively, took part in the meeting at which the UZEI Centre for Terminology and Lexicography became a member of INDEUS.
A Master's in Continuous Training in Digital Transformation has been launched by the University of the Basque Country and the Basque Summer University. Digital technologies are constantly transforming the economy and society. For this reason, the ability to understand, design and implement technological solutions is essential for ensuring the competitiveness of businesses. Artificial intelligence and big data offer great opportunities, but applying them in a critical and effective manner is the real challenge.
BAAI.eus is a new tool for creating professional websites using Artificial Intelligence. BAAI is a new initiative launched by Puntueus, and alongside its launch, it has announced benefits for its first users: a free website for a year, assistance with the website's design, and priority support. The BAAI website explains the steps to follow in the selection process. The deadline is 19th July.
‘Cogeneration’ in the New Industry Dictionary. Production of two types of useful energy from a single primary energy resource, using in one process the residual energy not available in the other. Both thermal energy (water vapour) and electrical energy are used. The electric power produced can be used at source or else be sold to an electricity company.
