Bziber Contest, an initiative to promote content creation in Basque on networks. Bziber is a project that aims to promote content creation in Basque on networks. Today, we spend a lot of our leisure time on social media, so we aim to create an interesting and attractive offer in Basque. To this end, it is intended to encourage both Basque content creators over the age of 14 and those who want to start creating.
In 2026, the 9th edition of the Survey of Language Use in the Streets of the Basque Country will take place, the most comprehensive to date. This study, promoted by the Sociolinguistics Cluster, will collect up-to-date data on language use on the streets, and the results are expected to be presented in the spring of 2027. A key feature of this edition is its scale: data will be collected in over 175 towns and cities, covering a wider area than ever before.
