IndeusBerri: the meeting point for the Industry and the Basque

Practical Guide to Using Artificial Intelligence Tools in Elhuyar. The main objective of this guide is to establish some criteria for the use of artificial intelligence tools: when and why we can use them, when we should not use them, some examples to illustrate how and for what we can use them, etc. The guide is just a starting point. Given that technology is constantly evolving, this is a document that we will update regularly.

The INDEUS working groups have met to analyze the Companies' Welcome Plans and the Practice Community of Language Technologies. Companies, associations and entities that are part of the Basque Industry Platform, Indeus, met today at the headquarters of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa where they were welcomed by Amaia Arregi director of Economic Promotion of the Provincial Council.

According to the 2024 study, 15.02% of Basque websites offer some content in Basque. It is the result of the analysis carried out by the PUNTUEUS Observatory. This figure is above 14% in the previous year and shows a positive trend, although growth is still slow. This shows that the digital use of the Basque language continues, but remains a major challenge.

‘Geolocation’ in the Spri Dictionary of the New Industry. This term refers to the software capable of recognising the real geographical position of a device (mobile phone, Internet-enabled computer, radar, etc.) or the act of finding the exact location of an object by means of this system. For example, the IP address of a device can provide the country, city or postal code in which it is located. Other means that can also be used to determine the device's location include image metadata, credit card information, etc.
