Probably yes, but the company’s R&D&i capacities, experience and strategy will have to be analysed; that information will then have to be cross-referenced with the European Commission’s lines and programmes.  The different European funding mechanisms are accessed by a good understanding of which elements (at all levels) are necessary and by having a medium-long-term plan that guarantees continuity in the work to build projects and alliances that fit with European priorities.

The BEEN experts in the Basque Country will assess the innovative nature of the product/service or technology of the company and will propose a tailored action plan to comply with the requirements for its international outreach.

There is no cost for Basque companies. The services are financed by the European Commission (Single Market programme).

  • Helping overcome the existing barriers for the internationalisation of the R&D&i of Basque SMEs.
  • Helping offset the lack of competitiveness of Basque SMEs on international markets by driving digitalisation and sustainability.
  • Helping SMEs with their digitalisation and with adapting their processes to the use of digital technologies to develop new products and services.

This is precisely one of the main services that BEEN offers in the Basque Country.  The BEEN staff will help companies to prepare the most appropriate partner search profile and will put them in contact with entities in countries throughout the Network.

Another possibility is for the company to submit an expression of interest to partnership opportunities published by other international organisations. Organising B2B meetings is another tool to search for transnational partners. Finally, the BEEN experts can also help to search for partners through forums and contacts of the Network.
