Leveraging Cluster Policies for Successful Implementation of RIS3.

Co-financed by: INTERREG EUROPE

Aim: Exchange experiences among participating regions concerning Cluster support and promotion policies and their coordination with other competitiveness policies and programmes within the framework of smart specialisation strategies (RIS3). The project is to last 4 years and will be implemented in two phases. A first phase to exchange experiences among partners, review best practices and draw up recommendations by experts. And a second phase of implementing improvements in policies based on what was learned in the previous phase.

Sustainable SMES by means of Enterprise Europe Network. Increase environmental performance and sustainability of SMEs in a set of sensitive sectors (production and processing of metals, food industry, manufacturing of electronic/electric equipment, waste management chemical industry). Offer and testing of environmental value added services for awareness and implementation of environmental friendly behaviours.

Competitive Intelligence for RDAs.

Aim: To develop and implement a collaborative competitive intelligence system among the participating regional development agencies (RDAs).

MITKE Project

Managing the Industrial Territory in the Knowledge Era.

European Union Regions Benchmarking, Economic Strategy and Transfer.

Aim: Comparative evaluation of business support policies and instruments (financing, innovation, clusters, information society, entrepreneurship, internationalisation, regional marketing, etc.). Identification of good practices through qualitative and quantitative analysis. Knowledge dissemination and transfer. Led by AWM (Advantage West Midlands), in collaboration with SPRI, it is based on a three-year pilot experience launched under the auspices of EURADA.

Members:A network of 23 members representing regional bodies in Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden.
