The INDEUS working groups have met to analyze the Companies’ Welcome Plans and the Practice Community of Language Technologies
Companies, associations and entities that are part of the Basque Industry Platform, Indeus, met today at the headquarters of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa where they were welcomed by Amaia Arregi director of Economic Promotion of the Provincial Council.
In the first part of the meeting, the most recent members of Indeus, Euskorpora and Asle, who have joined the platform this year 2025, were presented.
After the presentations, a space was dedicated to the EMPATIKONOMIA conference, the next edition of which will be held in March next year. Organized by Oarsoaldea, the meeting is presented as a step towards a more humane, fair and sustainable economic model, in which business success converges in harmony with the welfare of people and the planet.
The second part of the meeting focused on the reflection of two main topics:
- Welcoming Plans: welcoming procedures for new recruits, characteristics, origin, linguistic competence, cultural diversity and future challenges.
- Practice Community of Language technologies: language technologies used by companies, results, best practices.
INDEUS Industriaren Euskal Plataforma is the Basque Industry Platform, set up by SPRI, the Basque Business Development Agency, in collaboration with the Basque Energy Agency, the Vice-Ministry of Language Policy of the Basque Government and the Provincial Councils of Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. Its goal is to support the competitiveness of Basque companies by increasing the presence of the Basque language in the industrial field of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country.
