Frequently asked questions about Bind GovTech
Public entities participate in a collaborative working process using design methodologies applied to research and facilitation. As a result, they identify and publish a technological challenge, which is passed on to start-ups in the programme to propose innovative solutions that address real issues in their services or processes.
- Start-ups no more than 8 years old.
- Have innovative products or services that are applicable to the public sector and ready for implementation.
- Operate in areas relevant to the challenges proposed.
The possibility to collaborate directly with public entities, validate their solution in a real-world environment, and open up new business opportunities within the public sector.
Participation lasts approximately six months, with support from SPRI.
- 4 July 2025: Challenge publication.
- 4 August 2025, 23:59: Deadline for submitting applications.
- 13 to 17 October: Notification of semi-finalist start-ups.
- 27-29 October 2025: Semi-finalist pitches.
- 30 October: Notification of finalist start-ups.
- 17-19 November 2025: Finalist interviews.
- 20 November 2025: Selection of start-ups for piloting.
It is carried out in two phases:
- Pitches: 10-minute presentation to select semi-finalists. From all of them, three start-ups will be selected as finalists.
- Interviews: deepening the proposal to select the final start-ups.
Start-ups that are not selected will be informed of the outcome of their application.
Accept and comply with the terms of BIND GovTech, comply with the working dynamics, attend workshops, and sign a collaboration agreement with the public body if selected.
In accordance with the GDPR, data will be managed by SPRI and may be shared with relevant partners or public authorities.
The contract is signed directly between the public body and the selected start-up, with no involvement from SPRI. SPRI simply facilitates contact between start-ups and public entities and does not take part in negotiations nor assume any responsibility for the agreements made or their fulfilment.
