The Basque business group Jáuregui, dedicated to the assembly and maintenance of piping and boilers, has acquired the Biscayan company Tacomi, a firm with more than 20 years experience in the field of industrial engineering, assembly and maintenance.
The operation for acquisition of Tacomi by Grupo Industrial Jáuregui, with both companies based in the town of Derio, was completed in February.
Like this, Tacomi becomes part of a company founded in 1964, which has 230 employees and branch offices in Álava, Navarra and Huelva, operation centres from which it covers the entire domestic market.
The Jáuregui Group, which also operates internationally, recorded turnover of 14 million euros last year.
For the Jáuregui Group, the purpose of the operation is to expand and consolidate its customer portfolio in the Basque Country, taking advantage of Tacomi’s positioning in facility maintenance. In addition, the purchase enables Montajes Metálicos Jáuregui, the Group’s flagship company, to enhance its maintenance engineering.
