Plentzia Maritime Station to join European Marine Biological Resource Centre

The Plentzia Maritime Station (PIE – Plentziako Itsas Estazioa) is to become part of the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC), a research infrastructure that gives the scientific community access to marine resources and advanced bio-prospecting techniques with biotechnological applications. Nine countries are currently partners of the EMBRC: Belgium, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. Plentzia Maritime Station is a high-level research and teaching centre of the University of the Basque Country (UPV).
