DIPC to collaborate with Japanese MANA centre on nanoscience

25 September, 2015

The President of the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC), Pedro Miguel Etxenike and the Director General of the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (MANA), Masakasu Aono, have signed a collaboration agreement between the two institutions to strengthen scientific cooperation, especially through the exchange of researchers.

The agreed “Memorandum of Understanding”, which started from occasional collaboration between scientists from both institutions concerning molecular electronics, seeks synergies between the San Sebastian entity, dedicated to basic research in materials physics, condensed matter physics and nanoscience, with a strong theoretical content, and the Japanese experimental research centre in materials and nanotechnology.

Created in 2007, MANA is one of the nine centres promoted by the Japanese Government through a programme to support cutting-edge research.
