Namibia invites Basque companies to take part in its investment projects at the International Investment Conference

9 March, 2016

The Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and SME Development of the Government of Namibia has invited Basque companies, through SPRI, to take part in the International Investment Conference, which will take place on 12 and 13 May in the city of Windhoek, so they can learn about the investment opportunities offered by that country in sectors such as energy, agriculture, housing, tourism, manufacturing and infrastructure development.

Namibia has chosen the Basque Country as a special collaborating partner to participate in this Conference, and has done so through SPRI due to the contacts that the Basque Business Agency, dependent on the Basque Government Department of Economic Development and Competitiveness, has made from its office in South Africa.

The Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and SME Development of the Government of Namibia, in collaboration with the country’s major players, is organising the Conference, in the city of Windhoek, aiming to promote Namibia as a preferred investment destination, as well as to present the main investment projects currently in development in key economic sectors such as Energy, Agriculture Housing, Tourism, Manufacturing and Infrastructure Development.

The aim of the International Investment Conference is to present the country’s opportunities to companies with investment capability and high potential for wealth creation through business activities and added value and especially for high level decision-making executive profiles from previously selected strategic countries, such as in the case of Spain.
