The Bombardier factory in Trapagaran (Bizkaia) will manage the project and customer service, during the guarantee phase, for delivery of 27 driverless trains for the Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.
Bombardier and its local partner Hartasuma have announced a new order from Prasarana Malaysia Berhad for 27 new Bombardier Innovia Metro 300 driverless trains for the Kelana Jaya LRT, valued at approximately $359 million euros. Bombardier participation in the project is estimated at around 246 million euros. Deliveries are scheduled from May 2019 to February 2021, at a rate of four train sets (16 cars) per month.
