Basque industry continues to show its great vitality and a good example of this is the forthcoming 22nd edition of Ferroforma, the International Hardware, DIY and Industrial Supplies Exhibition, clearly demonstrating signs of strength and innovative capability in the preparations for this new event, to be held in halls 1 and 3 at BEC, Bilbao Exhibition Centre, from 6 to 8 June 2017.
Now, four months before it is held, 75% of the exhibition stand area for this biennial industrial event is booked and leading firms in sectors related to the supply of manual tools, fixings, locks and hardware have confirmed their presence.
At the previous edition, held in 2015, Ferroforma managed to attract 1,200 companies and was attended by 18,500 sector professionals.
During the current month of February, the organizing team intends to start commercial activities with one of the most useful tools Ferroforma has: the guest buyer programme, for which Mexico, United States, Colombia, Peru, Portugal, France, the United Kingdom and Germany are included as possible destinations, together with the Spanish cities of Madrid, Seville, Barcelona and Valencia. Collaboration agreements are being finalized with sectoral associations, purchasing groups, cooperatives and large retail outlets.
One of the new features of this edition is the creation of a specific meeting space for manufacturers and locksmiths, where demonstrations, meetings and technical training can take place. More than twenty companies have confirmed their presence at this initiative, which will be coordinated by the Spanish Association of Locksmiths and Security Professionals (Asociación de Profesionales de España en Cerrajería y Seguridad – APECS).
