NanoGUNE, located in San Sebastián, Basque Country (Spain), is an R&D center with the mission of conducting basic and applied world-class research in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The institute features an excellent infrastructure for advanced nano- and micromanufacturing based on a clean room facility, advanced microscopy platform, equipment for characterization, and the expertise in various laboratories of the individual research groups.
In the Nanoengineering group, a full-time Research Technician position is available from January 2016.The activities of the group cover research at the interface between fundamental nanoscience and applied engineering, in particular in the area of biomedical microsystems. We are especially looking for a highly motivated applicant who will organize the laboratory, set up optical, electrical and biochemical experiments, and carries out measurements in accordance with the researchers.

For consideration, the candidate is expected to have an appropriate certification and experience as technician, engineer or similar. The candidate will work in a highly interdisciplinary research environment and is supposed to be skilled in optomechanical setups, electrical circuitry and instrumentation. The standard language is English, and we expect a team-oriented working style.

In the first instance, the position is a 21-months term appointment and expected to begin as soon as possible. Materials required for the application are Cover Letter, Curriculum Vitae, plus Certificates and References as far as available.
