The fifth edition of Transfiere was attended by 3,000 participants.
The Spanish Technological Platform for Advanced Materials and Nanomaterials Materplat, led by the Basque Technology Corporation Tecnalia, had a major presence at the latest edition of the Transfiere European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation, held in Malaga on 10 and 11 February last.
Project representatives took part in various activities organised within the framework of the event, such as the meeting on the Graphene Interplatform Group – GRAFIP, promoted by the State Secretariat for R&D&I of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
One of the most important conclusions of the meeting was to determine the need for establishing a 2016 work plan to boost the position of Spanish industry in graphene. The technical secretariat of Materplat will be in charge of developing a programme of specific actions to advance in this field.
In addition, Materplat representatives took part in the round table discussion on circular economy, where they presented their knowledge about metal recovery, and in the debate on Advanced Manufacturing.
Finally, the platform participated in B2B meetings with companies and research groups, including the National Hydrogen Centre (CNH2), Yflow, the National Centre for Components and the PTE for Fission.
The fifth edition of the European Meeting on Science, Technology and Innovation attracted 3,000 participants (30% more than in 2015), had 45 stands and more than 500 enterprises and institutions.
