A delegation from Nevada (United States) has visited the Basque Country to learn about its economic potential, especially in the electrical and automotive sectors. The delegation, made up of economic sector and foreign trade officials from Nevada, was received in mid-September by Unai Rementeria, First Minister of Biscay/Bizkaia, at meetings also attended by representatives of electrical sector companies Arteche, Iberdrola, Ormazabal, Gamesa and Ingeteam.

The U.S. delegation visited some of these companies to explore business, investment and collaboration opportunities between Nevada and the Basque Country. This American state has a service-based economy, which accounts for 80% of its activity, and seeks to promote industrial activity in order to achieve further development.
