Biscay-based group ITP will allocate €75m to R&D on the low pressure turbine (LPT) project for the Airbus 330neo. ITP will be responsible for the design, manufacture and assembly of the LPT module, which it will supply throughout the entire life of the programme.

With this contract, ITP broadens its participation as a risk sharing partner across the entire family of Rolls-Royce engines for the twin-aisle aircraft segment. Once it enters service, the company estimates that it will have a global market share in excess of 50% for twin-aisle aircraft.
