On Thursday 27 November last, the IK4 Research Alliance presented the assets and technologies developed in this field to the companies in the Cluster of Electronics, Information Technology and Telecommunications Companies of the Basque Country (GAIA-Cluster TEIC).
As part of a ‘Technological Showcase’ held at the Gipuzkoa Science and Technology Park in Miramón, Alianza Tecnológica IK4 staff made a series of practical presentations in which the attending companies could directly see demonstrators and technologies at a high level of maturity.
These are assets over which the Basque research alliance holds intellectual property rights so, after their corresponding research and testing period, it is possible to immediately transfer them to the companies interested in exploiting them and thus increase the competitiveness of Basque enterprise.
Different technologies were presented during the session, including biometrics based on advanced facial recognition identification, an interactive platform for disseminating digital content or an automatic system to create and manage interactive content for web3D applications.
Technologies associated with the virtual creation and management of customised warehouses, a tool to guide the assembly and dismantling of products using augmented reality technologies, and a tool for inspecting systems using augmented reality technologies were also presented.
