FPK Lightweight Technologies, one of the companies in the Mondragon Group, has just invested 6.5 million euros at its Zamudio (Bizkaia) plant to create two new production lines and continue its growth.
The company designs and manufactures composite lightweight structures and aerodynamic components, based on advanced technologies, for the automotive sector and for all kinds of vehicles.
FPK is a leader in the use of advanced materials that provide lightness and recyclability at a competitive cost, the main growth variables in the automotive component sector.
FPK, owned by Grupo Batz and Mondragón Corporación, is reorganizing its business. In line with this policy, it divested it plant in Peine (Germany) last June in order to boost those in Brazil, China, Mexico and the Czech Republic, in addition to its local activities.
