Mondragon University and the Indian entrepreneurship centre Midas, of East Pune, have reached an agreement to create a Basque-Indian network to foster entrepreneurship in India, and for Mondragon University to encourage proactive attitudes towards entrepreneurship, according to Estratégia Empresarial.
In practice, the union between the two centres will jointly develop the Mondragon University entrepreneurship post-graduate programme in India and will also help in training Indian students in the most advanced tools available in this field.
In addition, as a result of this agreement, Mondragon University will create a space that will become an incubator for Indian entrepreneurs and companies and will provide Mondragon University students with an environment to develop their entrepreneurship projects and make contact with students from India and other countries.
The reason for selecting the Midas entrepreneurship centre as a partner organisation must be sought in the promoter of the centre, an important Indian businessman called Parag Shah, who is truly committed to education. The companies that this entrepreneur has launched include leading companies in the distribution sector as well as in the leisure and sport sector.
Thanks to this agreement, young Indians will learn about methodologies that transform environments in business teams and will receive training on the importance of undertaking and implementing new business ideas.
