The dates for the next edition of BIME, Bizkaia International Music Experience, have been announced. To be held between 29 and 31 October, the event will include the BIME PRO sessions, aimed at exploring new business opportunities in the mix between the music industry and digital technologies.
BIME will again be held at the BEC! from 29 October to 1 November, a rendezvous linked to innovation in the music industry, like at its first edition, including a BIME PRO programme, dedicated to professionals, on the first three days, as well as a music festival throughout the weekend.
Between 29 and 31 October, the encounter will include lectures, talks, workshops and presentations of projects aimed at professionals in different sectors linked to music, intended to promote new business opportunities at the crossroads between the music industry, marketing, communication, advertising and the world of mobile applications and videogames.
At its first edition, organised by Last Tour International and the Regional Government of Bizkaia, BIME PRO managed to bring together 1,215 professionals, with 25% of attendees from abroad and some twenty countries represented. The programme hosted 100 panel members and more than 40 events, both its own and those promoted along with major music-related organisations like Wayra, The App Date or Rethink Music from Berklee College of Music.
The 2014 edition of BIME PRO intends to exceed the figure of 250 meetings during the speed-meeting sessions and strengthen the fair as a venue for the promotion of the Basque music and technology industry, while consolidating itself as the leading European trade fair for the Latin American music industry.
