Under the names “Electronic Post Box”, “Safe electronic box” and “Certified e-mail”, a large number of digital services, designed to take on the same role in the electronic world as the traditional mailbox, are currently in operation throughout the world.
In this congress we have reunited the most Successful European experiences in new digital services for citizens and companies provided by administrations and private companies

Denmark is, today, the most digital country in Europe. This is largely due to e-Boks, the digital mailbox and strongbox used by 100% of the population. The key to take-off in adopting e-Boks came from a decision passed by the Danish Parliament which, unanimously backed by all political parties, strongly promoted extension of the system to all areas of society. Today, more than 20,000 companies and institutions send documents to e-Boks.

Is a combined system (Strongbox + E-mail + eNotification) that can be used to both receive and save documents, as certified support for official relations between individuals, companies and the public administration.

Is a system promoted by the Czech Government managed by the Czech Post Office with collaboration from the entire Czech public administration. The Government of the Czech Republic is stepping up adoption of the DATA BOX service with the aim of introducing more effective and efficient digital public administration – citizen and company relations. To achieve its purpose, DATA BOX has integrated with the services of Czech POINT, the network of assisted public administration centers

Is a system dependent on the Portuguese Post Office. Use of ViaCTT is growing among companies and the public administration, having obtained important references of implementation in banks, insurance, energy, telephone, water companies, town halls, etc. and even in football clubs such as Sporting de Portugal

Is a citizen mailbox system managed by the Swedish government. Mina Meddelanden is articulated with the Digimail strongbox and safebox service, used by the Government, the Local Administrations and companies. One of areas to have tried out the system in recent times is the health service, where it is used as support for a summarised version of citizens’ medical files.

It provides citizens and companies with a safebox and strongbox for saving all kinds of documents received from different issuers (financial bodies, administrations, telephone and energy operators, providers, clients, training centres, etc.). It enables the use of e-signing and the Legal Custody of documents that so require. It can also be used by the mailbox owner as a strongbox providing its own digital documents
