ULMA installs drainage channels at Poland’s largest stadium

16 April, 2015

The architectural solutions division of Basque group ULMA has supplied more than 300 linear metres of drainage channels at the Krakow Arena, the largest stadium in Poland, designed to host not only sports competitions but also shows, congresses, trade fairs and other events.

Ulma Architectural Solutions has been responsible for the installation of drainage channel model F105K, with ribbed cast grating for a load class of up to F900, in access areas into the complex and in the car park.

This type of channel is designed for heavy traffic areas, particularly for sections where the gratings are subject to high axial stress due to vehicle manoeuvring and braking. Moreover, the sides of the channels are reinforced with galvanised steel sections.

The Basque company specialises in the design, manufacture and marketing of industrialised and innovative prefabricated products and systems with architectural and engineering applications in construction.

It also produces a wide range of architectural solutions in polymer concrete such as ventilated facades and industrial cladding, among others.
