The Basque Country is the region with the highest life quality level in Spain, according to an OECD report, which measures variables such as health, education, employment, income, safety, environment, citizen participation, access to services and housing.
The Basque Country enjoy high levels of life quality, with special mention to the education system with an extensive knowledge of international languages and an advanced universal public health care system, making it the best healthcare in Spain and one of the best in Europe.

Basque, an ancient language

A language of unknown origins that bears no resemblance to European, Indo-European or Uralic language families. Most experts coincide in that it is possibly the oldest language of the European continent (5,000 years).
